hi im wanting to build a pc for gaming and a bit of editing and this is what i have come up with, and help me choose a 7970 here are the links for the ones im wanting to use. sapphire or msi.

Sapphire, they are both pretty much the same though. Also that PSU is a bit too much unless you want to go Crossfire in the future.

What is your budget?

832/50 + 990FX. If I had to choose, I would pick MSI by brand loyalty, though at those prices Sapphire is looking pretty good right now..

you REALLY want AMD for editting?
might want to check twice on that, but it's up to you, personally, I would get large harddrives and fast ones if you are going to edit, moving files and such, also a 3770K would serve you well in editting, of course, this really depends if you take editting seriously or not

well i was just going to probally do a some of editing, but not a whole lot

Good build. Both those cards are good. I would recommend the msi one. And since you are doing video editing, I would get the I7 3770k

What programs are you editing with and what kind of videos are you making?

I'd stay away from Thermaltake psus.
