Overclocking with FX-6300

Hey everyone, 

 

So I installed my Hyper 212 Evo and its been keeping my CPU quite cool. Here is what CPU-Z is saying

 

So now I want to overclock. My motherboard is the Asus M5A78L-M/USB3. Up do date chipset and Bios. 

 

So I am just wondering how I should go about doing that. Any help would be appreciated.

Set it to 1.4v and go to town.

 

adjust LLC if your board has it to compensate for voltage drop.

well... get into the bios and raise the multiplier and stress test the cpu till you get errors or BSOD.

After that, start raising the voltage and the multiplier till your chip is either too  hot or it get's BSOD. that's the limit of your cpu. when you reach that, lower the voltage a bit, lower the frequency and stress test it for 8hours +

 

P.S: Don't go over 1.4V

Appears that you have cool and quiet on. I rather have it off so its at a constant clock and iv noticed when using Cool and quiet there is usually stutter ones in a while

What are your temperatures? You could be getting inaccurate temps.

Speccy is saying that average temp is 27 degrees, and when Im gaming it can go to around 40
