Help Needed

Here's the situation: I got and installed a new gpu recently. But, whenever I would turn the pc on BEFORE that, I would see a bright blue light from inside the case and the main back fan turn on. Neither of those things happen now. Now whenever I play a game, it is uncomfortably warm/hot. Perhaps it was a mistake in the installation of my gpu (Zotac 760) that was incorrect, but I need halp.

What was your old GPU and what is your new GPU?
