What build should i buy?

Chewique

Hey! My parents have agreed to buy me a gaming pc for my birthday! I have 2 builds on choice that i can pick from!

Build 1: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/NQVyjX

Build 2: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/GkLnYJ  (Yes, i know this doesn't have a HDD)

I plan to game and render a few things! What do you think? What build is better!

If you think that none of them are good please make my a build on Pc part picker! My budget is £850!

I would like a GTX 970 though :) I will be buying a HDD for build 2 and upgrading the ram on whatever one i get at christmas! :)

Thanks! kbai

I'd vote for Build 2. Solid choice. Also why did you choose 970?

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

na. It's a good overclocking card. And the cooler is real good.

I do plan to over clock it, is it still worth it though?

What resolution you playing at? If you're playing at 1080 and overclocking I say get the 970, but look into the price of a Gigabyte G1 in your country. The cooler on it gets some great overclocks and its board is widely supported by water cooling block manufacturers for down the line if you ever decided to switch to that.

As for which build the 1st seems better to me IMO. For gaming a haswell refresh still does very well and with that you get 16GB of RAM and an HDD to store your games right away.
