Anyone one no if thies have the Samsung memory ?

Depends on which batch you get, Nvidia recently started allowing "official" support of AIB to use Samsung memory.

So if you get a brand new one from a November/December batch, it's possible you can get Samsung memory.

So if I download gpuz I can check it ?

Yes, unless you bought yours within the last month or so, it will be Hynix.

You have to install GPU-Z, not just run the executable.

Not really, the only advantage Samsung really has on air / watercooling is being able to reach slightly higher clocks.  "sometimes" they can perform better @ the same clock, but it depends on the BIOS.   Samsung *most of the time* will also do benchmarks higher, for instance I can benchmark at 8800 effective on my memory, haven't tested game stable but it's probably around 8300-8400.

For extreme uses, like Ln2:  Samsung is much better. It has a lower cold bug, can withstand MUCH higher voltages, and can also help the GPU clock better.  After a certain point, the memory controller in the GPU when it's really cold & the core clock is very high, you need to be running 1.8v+ on the memory to get past ~2000 mhz on the core.

Obviously that doesn't matter for 24/7 use or gaming though.
