Don't build a custom loop unless you have enough experience

if you dont know what parts are good and what isnt, then you dont have enough experience

And you should probably do some more research unless you want to end up with a wet PC and dead parts

You've got a CPU liquid cooler listed. Are you only liquid cooling the GPU's?

gpu/CPU people suggested the cou cooler so I don't no any better but with water cooling means I don't need the CPU cooler as its cooled with the tubing right?

If you know this little about PCs and how they work, don't build a custom water cooled PC

Leave a like if you breathed oxygen today

-snip-

If it's only for gaming then get the Intel Core i5 6600K. The NZXT X61 Kraken is a very good Watercooler.

Ditch the velociraptor 1TB HDD.. not necessary imo

i was debating getting the corsair liquid cooled msi 980ti.. If I do this plus the x61 for my cou does that mean there's no point in WC?

well from what I understand water cooling is the best option and my friend as a favor offered to do it as I want performance because of this I just need parts for him..... :/

building is not all that matters

you also need to maintain a custom loop

this includes cleaning out blocks when they get dirty, replacing the fluid every 6 months to a year, replacing cloudy tubing, etc...

it is not a "build it and dont touch it for the next five years" project

and clearly you dont know enough about custom loops to be able to maintain one properly

i would suggest you just buy an AIO instead

uh, custom loops are not for performance...they are for aesthetics

you're going to spend $600 on some slightly better overclocks, that's all

you would get MUCH more performance by spending that $600 on a better GPU or CPU

if you get a factory liquid-cooled 980ti and the X61... you won't have to worry about buying extra component.. everything will be liquid cooled then. GPU and CPU

Watch videos on youtube how to install the cpu waterblock

Thank you so much for answering the question and helping, so basicly if I do get those components there's no need for a custom loop right? Just to make sure :P

But if you cant build a custom loop without experience how do you get experience to build one? It's a conundrum.

research

watching others build them, reading everything about them, planning your own, etc...

I knew exactly how to build one and what i needed before I actually bought any parts for mine, and I knew enough to get it perfect first try
