Weird Black Border Around Screen

Go to solution Solved by Milesgaming,

Looks to me like a bezel mate, my screens have the same one :P

Looks like the bezel to me.

Fair enough then, thanks for the replies guys. I was most likely just paranoid. Anyways, thanks a lot again! :)

I was doing some overclocking during the day (CPU), and after maybe an hour of experimenting with different stuff, I noticed that a weird kind of black border had appeared. The border is maybe max 2mm long and goes around the whole screen kind of like an outline by the edges of my monitors. There is nothing wrong with my GPU, I have tried different stress tests, games etc and none of them had any issues whatsoever.

I am running: 4770k, 16GB RAM, a GTX 980 and as for monitors, I am using two, a BenQ XL2720Z and some random 23" LG screen. This weird border issue affects both screens.

I Really apreciate any form of help, even if you can't solve my issue :)

are you sure it's not the bezel? All jokes aside, have you ever seen it before? Because on some monitors ther eis a small gap between the bezel and the screen itslef.

That's the question I'm trying to ask myself haha... Sometimes, I don't notice it, but when I do look, it just feels REALLY out of place, and I just cannot recall it being there before... I might just be tired as hell though.

Have you reset your OC? :D

Yep, first thing I did but to no avail.

Just out of curiosity, check in your Nvidia settings (Adjust desktop size and position) that the scaling is set to "No Scaling".

Quack 🦆

Just did, it did literally nothing. Didn't move in nor out.

A pic would be nice.

I'll get you one now, give me a minute.
