New motherboard, need advice.

I'm getting a new 6600k, need a motherboard for it.

I'm currently thinking between Asus and MSI, the thing is that I have a lot of experience with Asus and know that they do good things, and have legend quality, how does MSI fair?

I'm thinking between an Asus Maximus VIII Ranger/Hero or an MSI G7/G5 or MSI Titanium Edition.

Advice anyone? Thanks in advance.

Could also go for 6700k and a cheaper motherboard.

MSI is also good. don't worry just go with the motherboard which has the most features you desire. The "quality" difference isn't very relevant here.

Would it be a better choice to get a 6700k over a 6600k with a cheaper mobo?

Based on what you want to do. If you just game, the i5-6600K will be enough. If you also do something more stressful like video editing or software development you will want to have that extra oomph (hyperthreading) of i7-6700K

I wouldn't go for the MSI Titanium unless you are okay with spending $300 USD on a motherboard that doesn't even have matching lights.
