Okay guys,

Currently using a pair of Corsair 1500 V2 and the sound quality is pretty good and the positional audio is meh but my biggest gripe is the comfort. My ears are in serious agony after a 3-4 hour session. I'm looking for the best headset with great positional audio. I basically only play CS:GO and may be competing in some LANS in the next year or so so I need something to stack up competitively.

at this point I don't really care if the headset has a mic or not. I can get by using my corsairs for the mic or grab a modmic to throw on the side. I'm in Ontario so obviously prices suck.

THROW SOME SUGGESTIONS AT ME, also who doesn't love deals?

thanks guy. Linus Love

Headset: Kingston hyperX Cloud. I dont know any headset below 200 bucks with a similar awesome "bang for the buck".

If it doesnt have to have a mic, look for a Sennheiser 558/598 (depending on price), beyerdynamic DT (Pro) series, AKG K612~

If positionals is the most important for you: AKG K701 (needs an Amplifier or it sounds too tinny/weak) > AKG K612 pro (cheaper).

AKG K7xx series is literaly a God-Mode in positionals, and details. It doesnt really have much bass, so it might be boring. But if you dont hear something with these boys, it doesnt exist. ^^

AKG K612 Pro is a good compromise (is at 135€ in germany/europe), just slightly worse in positionals (still on a VERY high level) and details, but has slightly more bass, and is a better "allrounder".

The Sennheiser G4ME One has been @ $149 for a while now. For someone wanting a headset I feel it is the best available if you want the most for your $ in the headset market.

For under $100 though, the HyperX Cloud or Cloud Core is an easy choice.
