I am looking for a 2011-3 cpu block on EKWB and I see a standard acetal block for 70$ and Evo Elite Series for 120$. So I think the clear block looks better and is 50$ less but is there difference in performance somewhat equal to the price inflation or is it just a label. If you have any idea I would some help thanks.

The difference is material cost and machining since it's a solid nickel top on the elite block compared to acetal which is slightly cheaper, between the two the performance is the same. 

 

EDIT: Possibly copper with nickel plating

Can you see the Water flowing through a clear top or no?

Can you see the Water flowing through a clear top or no?

well, yes and no. you can see the liquid, but you can't really see any signs of a flow after the initial filling proccess.

As already said you can't see the flow unless it isn't bled properly!

As already said you can't see the flow unless it isn't bled properly!

It proves the point that you can see the fluid through the block (but not the flow). However thank you for your helpful input ..

Did you polish the top? Need to do both my EK blocks (AMD LTX & SUPREMACY EVO) as they're not glass like in clarity at all and it would be nice to see straight through them.

Lowfat has done a pretty good guide on OCN so I will probably try that one on the frosted one I need to have a chat with him because I think he has moved away from sandpaper now and gone to using power tools and polishing compounds.
