Talk about (and share) Programming languages that are not known to many!

An example of this is greentext

https://github.com/jfeng41/greentext

>implying 3 is 4 and 7 > 5  >mfw "true">or not  >mfw "false"    # Outputs false>done implyingCode Credits : whitephoenix

Also, feel free to try your hand at making something in the codes that people share!

#define >implying if#define is ==#define and &&.....

that's nothing esoteric really if it can be done with defines in a C language or similar

the real deal is the brainfuck, Ook. and the likes

the whole point of a language being esoteric is to make it imposible for a human to read and understand

if you got commands that differ by more than one character a human can easily memorize, read and trace the code

Do you think a normie could look at that and understand it?

But I guess you are correct

what's a normie?

I think Norwegian people are more intelligent than you think they are...

A normal person who does not understand programming

a normal person who does not understand programming doesn't understand

int i = 5 > 6 ? 1 : 2;

or a lambda expression, that doesn't make it esoteric

lolcode on the other hand makes it more intuitive and more likely for a person to guestimate the intended purpose

Technically but I think we're going off the esolangs.org definition

An esoteric programming language, or esolang, is a computer programming language designed to experiment with weird ideas, to be hard to program in, or as a joke, rather than for practical use.
