Im looking to do my next build with raid zero ssds but am looking for used drives because its cheeper (i know used is not as reliable) but i have an old 500gb hdd that i want to back them up on incase somthing goes wrong the question is how to bavk up raid zero is it diffrent because the data is split between the drives i have no idea how this works

I wouldn't recommend RAID 0 in the first place. Even less so with used drives. Why are you wanting RAID 0? Unless you're transferring large files to drives that can operate at similar speeds, you're not going to get much benefit out of it. 

 

Your OS will see the RAID 0 array as a single drive. Backing it up is the same as it would be for a single drive.
