Windows 7 won't boot unless I hit ctrl+alt+delete

I lost power and the computer shut off without shutting down.  It boots into the BIOS okay, but pas that it won't boot Windows unless I hit ctrl+alt+delete.  How do I fix this?

ps. maybe its time to upgrade to windows 8 or 10.

Its an old laptop, and I'm going to be building a desktop to replace it.  I just need it to last long enough to get the desktop up and running.
