I would like to know what a good overclock for the Evga 760 ACX SC would be? And do i need benchmark software or is playing games fine? I am asking because the only thing that i have done to test my OC is Battlefiled 3 for about 3 hours and Borderlands 2 for about an hour.

So far i have gotten +100mhz to the core and +200mhz on the memory with the +12mV increase.

Games like Battlefield 3, Metro: Last Light, Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3 are your best choices in stability tests in my opinion. You can also use Unigin Heaven or Valley.

Borderlands 2 in my experience isn't necessarily the best way to test an overclock stability. I say this because my top 660 Ti almost never clocks up to its full frequency unless Adaptive V-sync is disabled. I suppose if you have PhysX enabled as well, it'll boost up. But you'll want to monitor your clocks to be sure.
