Wireless N router/modem

Please recommend me a good modem/router for home use. Personally I don't think AC is worth the extra $$$ right now since I do not have any devices that support AC+I will also be using wired connection for my main rig anyway

 

I have an Internet connection that frequently disconnects - I don't know if the problem stems from the Ethernet port in my current laptop(desktop coming soon) or my modem/router(it's a free ISP one)

 

Any input would be appreciated 

 

Is the ASUS RT-N66U a good buy? I'm looking in to it

I'd generally trust any asus router.

 

I personally a TL-WR702N from tp-link (REALLY cheap aswell, like US$20)

 

 

Granted i live in a small flat, i have no problem livestreaming on it from 7ft away

The Asus router would be the one I would buy if I was in the market for a new router.

All you need to really make this one of the best routers is a good receiver which is where some devices fail. But that is slowly getting better.

Yep, go for the ASUS N66u, great router. I own one, and love it.
