just a quick question, are there any Raid / NAS optimized SSDs out there like the WD Reds for HDDs?

the only two i can find that are kinda Raid / NAS orientated are Kingston E50 Enterprise and Intel 730s which only go up to 480 GB... and i was kinda hoping for a bit more then that...

yeah i was looking at the 850 Pro at 1st, but i didnt see any where that they were rated for NAS / Raid / 24 hr op or anything like that... only speed & reliability... which is good and will work... but was just wondering if there were any legit "NAS SSDs" out there...

Yes there are some from Seagate. Seagate 600/1200 Pro Enterprise SSD's but they're also limited to 480GB..

If your using a software RAID, ZFS or Intel onboard RAID then standard consumer SSDs are fine. The key point here is that with these SSDs TRIM support is critical to performance and wear.

For hardware RAID as you have spotted enterprise SSDs are an absolute must. I have already tried Samsung 840 Pros and 850 Pros on LSI RAID cards and the end result was hell no doesn't work properly, back away quickly. The features that make enterprise SSDs work with RAID are optimised firmware, better garbage collection, power loss protection and very consistent I/O response time (no peaking). Down side is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
