I have been looking for a good laptop for high school and media editing under $2000 ??? Please help

Is a dedicated GPU a requirement? Also what kind of content creation are you doing?

I have no idea if there's gonna be a P55 v5 anytime soon, but this is slightly over $1,000 USD, and with the extra money get yourself some extra gear.

Well you could just go macbook for video editing if you can use FCPX. But for gaming.. the Blade is pretty awesome, otherwise something from Lenovo perhaps?

Actually, how much is the Surface book where you are? It's a pretty amazing piece of hardware.

hey m8 i live in australia too and i am going to yr 11 and needed a laptop to game on and to take to school. i ended up getting a lenovo y700 from ncix with international shipping and i like it very much. It costs

$1475 cad which converts to $1461 aud

+$90 shipping +$24 insurance and +$243 customs fee it totals at $1804

the i7 model is $2300 from harvey norman so thats a pretty good deal.
