New cooler

Marziin111

Hi,

I want to buy a new cooler for my i7 6700k. I've just looked for some good ones and found three but I don't know which to buy now.

1. beQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3

2. Noctua NH-D15

3. Thermalright Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme

which one would you recommend? Or a completely different one?

Greetings

The Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme performs the best out of the 3 whereas the DRP3 would perform the worst.

I agree you it does not look that very cute and in reasons of the design I would buy the Dark Rock. Is there that much different between the three?

The Dark Rock 3's mounting hardware is considerably harder to use than the other two and it performs a good chunk worse than the NH-D15 especially considering lower noise operation. The Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme's performance is at the top of even the highest performance heatsinks but isn't as quiet as the other two. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1441-page7.html

I would look at Cryorig the R1 Ultimate or Universal is the same price as a bequiet! Dark Rock Pro but is easier to mount since they give you an elongated screw driver without having to remove the fans.  And the cooling is on par with the Noctua towers and is a better color scheme (black housing with silver and black fins).
