Everyone's going to ask for your budget and say 6300, 8320, or 8350.

Just ask in your build topic you made not that long ago.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

8320.

The 8320 is perfect. Also, get this board. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514

It's very high quality, and it costs as much as an entry-level Intel board.

I think the general consensus is to get an 8320 and OC it to over 8350 levels.  You can put the money you save towards a decent closed-loop CPU cooler.

he never mentioned a budget so y not?

Because intel i7 3930k is very close in budget and much faster?

Also a quad core i7 is muuuch cheaper and faster as well?

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

I'd say 8320 over the 8350 if you care about saving money, its $55 less (at least where I shop at) and it performs about $2 better, not even considering ocing.  If you want to sli/cf get a 990fx board like a gigabyte 990fx ud3, any asus 990fx board.  As for the 970 boards the only thing I would go with with an 8 core would be a gigabyte 970 ud3 or asus m5a97 non le board.

I would go with a 8350 or the 8320 (overclock it) if you want to save some money and the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard.
