Hello, everyone. I'm doing a project for an upcoming event, and need to do a voice over in a video. Previously, I used to use my old headphone's mic, since all I used was Skype - I bought a mic today, I'll post a picture below. If I turn up the volume in settings, I get static, if I turn it down, I can't hear myself. Please tell me what to do ASAP, need to get this work done quick. 8449e19f9cfdca2fbde7d7b42136e222.jpg

Regards.

  • 2 weeks later...

Buy a not terrible microphone!
In the meantime:
1) put a sock over it and move it closer to your mouth, find all the places you can increase the gain and turn it up at the least offensive point.

2) keep the cable as isolated as possible (v difficult) from any transmitting devices such as phones, modems, etc.

3) if you're super hardcore, ground lift your rig (only if you know what you're doing)

Good luck mate!
