Ok, so I built my brother a PC for christmas and for some reason the hard drive is corrupt and will not load windows (10) no matter what I do.

Anyway, so I want to ask...

If I bought a new hard drive, can I still use the same OS and product key?

And, Is there any way I can get the Product key from anywhere at a cheap price?

Thanks in advance,

Why not? I've now got a rule from my parents that I should be off by pm to help with my bad sleep problems which were informed by my doctor.

I sleep at 6pm wake at 3 am call that bad.

No, cuz that is 9 hours sleep. A lot of the time I get much less than that. Otherwise I do not understand ur comment, so all I'm gonna say is that we are in different time zones so stop complaining!

if you are just replacing the hard drive i think windows will activate if you use the same key. you might have to use the automated phone service to activate it, but i am not entirely sure.

If you have the added security you'll need to download the Microsoft Account app that sends you a verification code that you just have to agree to and it'll continue with what ever changes that you're trying to make.

Thanks, although it doesn't really matter now as I have formatted the HDD so it will never be recoverable. I am then gonna buy an SSD and a product key so that it will be more reliable than a mechanical HDD that was used previously.
