Hi, I would like to know everyone's opinion on whether or not the 980ti is worth it vs the price of the 980. I'm about to be 15 and don't have a stable job or anything, so my computer has been built purely off of me saving for a year. In my case, is the 980ti worth it? I could get a 980 and a Samsung 850 pro ssd for the price of the 980ti. I know that the 980ti has nearly the same performance as a titan x. In the future will the 980ti really last much longer than a 980 (Being able to play new titles)?

Current Build: Core i7 4790k @ 4.6, Asus Maximus VII Hero, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400mhz 8gb (2x4gb), GTX 980ti, NZXT Kraken X61, Fractal Define R5  EVGA Supernova B2 850w, Some 300gb hard drive.

Depends on your Displays Resolution. Custom 980Ti´s are up to 25% faster than a 980, but if you only play on 1080p its not realy necessary.

from your current build i dont know about your monitor but 980ti is worth the price for any resolution anyway just that do you need it or not. if you play like moba or csgo i would not want to spend on a card that is gonna 1 cost a lot and 2 gives me 400fps because i am not using it anyway.

Probably going to buy a Asus Swift PG278q after i get the card i decide on. If not that one, definitely the AOC g2460pg

Probably playing some Crysis or other steam games.

Then the 980ti will serve you quite well. 1440p is quite demanding, so having a beefy card will help games run smooth without having to turn down many settings.

Okay! thanks!

But you should go for the pg279q if the money allows it.
