What's the best?

Mattjames74

So as we all now Battlefield 4 is coming out next month and so are quite a few other games. So I was looking for a way to make my gaming experience better! After a lot of googling I finally came down to 3 items I think would be a good idea to get. But if I was only to get one, as I only have the money for one at the moment, would it be the Asus Xonar Essence STX, Razer Ouroboros or the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate. Any advice would be great, many thanks Matt.

Please dont get the Black Widow... Get your self a decent Ducky...

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

There are no "decent" Duckies, they are great

Well, get a Ducky that fits in your budget. :P

What mouse and keyboard do you currently have? I can think of quite a few better keyboards, as for mouse that's down to personal preference. Also what headphones are you using?

I'd go for the Soundcard if you already own a nice set of headphones. For a keyboard, I'd go with a G710+

AMD FX 8350, ASUS GTX 770 DirectCUII, ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0, CORSAIR TX 750, CORSAIR VEANGENCE BLACK 8GB'S 1600Mhz, Hyper 212 evo, Aerocool Strike-X GT, Crucial M4 128GB SSD, Seagate Baracuda 2TB, Asus CrapReader

great sound really wakes up a game for me. I am not familiar with your headset but if its good quality a sound card may be your best bet because its not something you will have to upgrade any time soon so you can use it on your next pc as well.

Don't buy the sound card, onboard audio is enough. If you really do want one, get an external one like the Fiio E10. Seriously, don't get an internal soundcard.

Get the keyboard first in my opinion but look at other brands like Ducky, Corsair, and CM Storm.

You can also look at a O2 + ODAC instead of a soundcard.

What? You take that back! :P  :D

Ducky makes very good quality keyboards, no need for bloatware as it runs on default Windows driver....comes with various lighting effects with various color and switch types. Filco is a tad better actually, but is rather staid, some might even call them boring.....not me though, I love my Filco's. Razer, pardon my slightly potty mouth, is all fart and no shit, build quality isn't up to Ducky (though Razer fanboys would disagree) and is more likely to give you problem than a Ducky. People associate Razer with good gaming peripherals because they spend a crapload on marketing. I'm not saying Razer doesn't have good gaming products, they do, like the DA 2013, but their mechanical keyboards aren't exactly the best around.....

Hahah no problem.

So if I got the ducky shine 3 i wouldn't be disappointed with it in any way? It's just that I don't what to get a keyboard that I end up not liking or getting a lot with, if you no what I mean. This would be my first mechanical keyboard as well. And I want to try and get the best keyboard possible too! As we all do :)

The games I play are the following if that helps:

Bf3 and 4 when it come out

Medal of honor warfighter

Indie games

Eve online

War thunder

And the list keeps on going...:)

Also I guess I'll be needed a mouse too! So what would be the best one?
