Which component should I upgrade?

i5 won't change shit for the most part. 8320 @ 4.4 is actually faster in heavily-multithreaded apps

what is your budget? what resolution you are playing with? best choice will be adding another 290 not upgrading to i5 that's for sure.

I already have an SSD, and I have an ASUS GPU not the reference card, so I can't do Crossfire.

I'd just keep what you have. There's no real reason to upgrade if you're just playing at 1080p.

Going Intel and having it be worth while would cost more than your budget, so the only upgrade would be the GPU, and honestly you wouldn't see a massive improvement.

Save up and buy one of the newer cards coming out, if you need/if you upgrade your monitor.

Even at 1080p I'd like to get higher frame rates or graphics settings on intensive games like AC Syndicate, GTA V etc.
