if the temps you are noticing now have been lower when the laptop was new, cleaning out the heat sink vents should improve you temps. If the the laptop is new, you could try re-pasting the thermal compound and see if that makes a difference. With the G series from ASUS and laptops in general, GPU temps can affect CPU temps. If your GPU is not 'idling' while the CPU is, the CPU temps will be higher - check GPU idle temps as well.

Idle as in nothing's going on? 35-45 degrees should be normal. If you're doing anything or suffocating the laptop, your temps don't seem too bad.

Notice that idle is not when you're watching YouTube or Netflix, it is when the computer is doing nothing else than being turned on. This seems to be a common misconception for some reason.  However if it is truly idle this does sound a tad high, and cleaning out the heatsink might be a good idea. Of course take care that you don't void any warranties (that is if you care about that, some of us don't ;) ).

Time to dust clean it. If that doesnt fix it go buy some ic diamond and put that on the heat sink.

G series laptop allow you to easily remove a back panel and get access to the two heat sinks and fan assemblies. Just take a look on the inside where the fans integrate to the heat sink. Usually over time a 'bed' or 'pillow' of dust get accumulated there, obstructing the air flow, clean that out and check temps again. GTX 670M 60 degree idle is high.

Currently you have tolerable temps, but if ignored, you can expect, temperature related throtlling, shutdowns, and eventually hardware failure.
