PC has power running to it, but shuts down after a couple seconds.

Buttersgra

Intel Core i5 6600k

Asus Maximus VIII Hero board

G Skills Ripjaws V Series 16gb of ram (DDR4 2400),

Sandisk 64gb boot drive (SSD) and a Samsung 1TB SSD

Asus Strix 980 TI

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe

850w EVGA psu

I had a cpu cooler when this was going down, but haven't put it on yet due to wanting to see if I can figure this out first (if it winds up being the cpu cooler not being installed, I will install first and see if it works) but with everything installed as it currently is, I powered the machine on and was happy to see everything worked, but the Q-codes on the mobo were flashing in rapid succession in this order: 19,13,00,21,4C, 3E, 3A, 32 and then zero. Then it immediatly shuts off, but power is still flowing to the mobo and graphics card. I have tried moving the ram chips around to different slots, resetting the cpu (just in case), and pretty much everything but taking all of it back to the store and getting new parts. Can anyone help or at least give me tips on where to go from here?

If you need more information, please let me know. Thanks!

Put a CPU cooler, most likely the CPU is overheating and shutting down

It does sound like your CPU is overheating. If your CPU does not have a cooler, put one that fits on or upgrade your existing cooler to something that can dissipate more heat.

Without a CPU cooler, your CPU will rapidly get hotter, and will shut itself off to save its life. Put that cooler on and it should work.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Alright, so I forgot you people existed. But I did it, and the same issue is still occuring. As it turns out, there is an issue with the power button, so Phanteks has sent me a new one to remedy that. Thanks so much for everything guys!
