Alright, we've been talking and out of all of these, she still wants the i3 Asus for the battery life/weight.

 

But she did bring up a question. What would an extra $200 bring? I mean is it worth it to that for someone that's tight on money but wants to play some games, it's stupid to go $350 when $550 is like many times better?

i5 5500U which goes up to 2.8GHz IIRC whereas the i3 goes to 1.8 I believe.

You can get a 840M which is a lot faster (30% or so)

You get better build, less flex, better battery, upgradability.

The Lenovo, looks better. It seems like it's battery life is short, and it cuts a few corners but for under $500 it doesn't look that bad.

True, but performance wise it's less, it weighs more and it's battery life is probably shorter. Not to mention, even with bad support, if the Warranty is still in affect they can't really stop you. Only give you a bad time.

I've just heard Asus has terribad support. It has a 1 yr warranty, and American Express will double that, so 2yr.

They won't. I'm serious. A guy here bought a 1000$ Asus gaming laptop. It broke within a month, sent it for RMA, it's been nearly 60 days since he last heard from them.
