Hey I need to get a new PSU as mine blew and want to upgrade my whole computer soon so I am buying on which will suit my new needs.

My new components will be:

GTX 770 (2x sli in future)

Higher end mobo

550D case

and I wanted to go with a AX760 power supple, is this enough?

Thanks

A bit overkill. A 750w bronze would be plenty.

So even for sli itll be more than enough? is 860 overkill? and is the i really worth it?

An ax760 is easily enough for an overclocked 780 sli.

Save your money and get a 750w bronze psu instead.

AX760/860 had coil whine problems.  AX760i/860i were contracted from a different manufacturer, seems to be better.  Alternatively, the Seasonic Platinum 760W can usually be found cheaper.  Revision 2 fixed coil whine from that.

Save some money and go for something like a SeaSonic M12II for $100 -- use the code 'LBDSB20' for $20 off (Edit: code runs out today also). Another great choice would be a Rosewill HIVE 750W for $90.

I would then use the money you saved on an FX 8320 for an extra $20 -- use the code 'LABORDAY4' for $15, which makes it only $5 more (code runs out today though). Of course you would have money left over which you can spend on whatever.

Another option is you could use all the money you save ~$70 and you may be able to find a 3570K going for cheap - newegg have them for $220. You didn't specify which motherboard, but you said high end, so you should be able to afford a cheap but good motherboard such as an MSI Z77A-G45 or ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 - newegg has them both going for $125.

I'd go for a gold 750W just for safety, the Corsair HX750 seems like a good option to me.

Sure you want to spend the money? It's not needed. A 750w gold/platinum would be more suited towards or an overclocked 780 sli / 7970 CF.

Im going to be overclocking will this be enough?

A 750w bronze has plenty headroom for that.

We generally always assume you're overclocking. We'd tell you if it wasn't enough to overclock.

Just get a quality one which is certified up to 50°C, I believe those Seasonic ones are.

mwave, pcdiy or msy depends on prices, any other good australian stores?

Pcpartpicker is good to sort out prices and for putting builds together sometimes although it often leaves out many parts for the Australian version of it.
