Do you edit/render/3d?

since you "dont have a budget" (and im 99.9% sure you do there isn't wrong with having one)

i recommend getting the 5820k and a 980 ti for the long run

The 5820K build has a Z170 MOBO with it... @OP, you need an X99 MOBO for that CPU.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

what I ment with the budget thing is that im willing to save more and more over time... but i dont want it to take me all the way to 2017 to have enough.

I already have a 970 and I wanna use it. and some day in the future get another one If I feel like I want more power.

You need an X99 motherboard for the 5820K!

so I cant use a H170 with the I7 5820k?

No. The 5820K is only compatible with LGA-2011-3 sockets. The H170 board is LGA-1151.

Well, the 5820K is unnecessary if you're just gaming. Just grab a 6600K and Z170 and save up for a new GPU in the future.

If you have no budget, a 4690K, 4790K/6600K, 6700K + Z97/Z170 MOBO would be a great option.

you think the 6600K wotn bottleneck my GPU

Nope. An i5-4460 won't bottleneck two 980 Ti' s in SLI.

DDR4 only I think. And the 4790K supports DDR3

Skylake is compatible with DDR3 if you have the right MOBO.
