Looks really nice to me. I did a build for my brother that's nearly identical so I'm a bit biased lol. I'm not sure if MSI boards can do it but I know ASRock boards can OC locked Skylake processors. Check and make sure your mobo can too, otherwise that CPU + mobo combo is useless. I'm not sure if you need 16GB of RAM but it's really up to you if you want to pay the extra amount. Consider an R9 390 instead of a 970 but personally I like the 970 better. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages but performance-wise they're nearly identical.

I think Skylake might be better for long term upgrades. I agree with you on the PSU boost for Crossfire though. SSD performance isn't that big of a deal, at least not to me.

Just my personal opinion :P also DDR4 is nice, not to mention locked CPU overclocks.

even though the haswell i5 4690k will overclock higher cause of multiplier overclocking with a aftermarket cooler vs the i5 6500 on stock fan

I would stay with the Corsair RM650W PSU as it's a much higher efficiency unit, and IMO a better quality unit (more important as you have the ability for an OC on the GPU/CPU), and probably forgo the 390X for the 390 (and save some $$$). If you're gaming at 1080p then the 390 will be perfect, for 1440p the 390X might be worth the jump.

  1. IMO means in my opinion.
  2. Reviews are subjective, kind of like my opinion.

Seasonic: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5800/seasonic-m12ii-750w-evo-edition-750-watt-80-plus-bronze-psu-review/index5.html

Corsair RMx: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/7376/corsair-rm1000x-1000w-80-plus-gold-power-supply-review/index5.html

Corsair RM: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5777/corsair-rm850-850-watt-80-plus-gold-power-supply-review/index5.html

So while he is going for the RM series (even though RMx is $10 MSRP cheaper?), it's still a good PSU. Calm down, kiddo.
