Greetings.

I'm considering building a gaming PC for a friend, but he doesn't have a lot of space, wants to be able to fit this in a backpack and take it to LAN parties, and wants to stick with this 900p monitor he's real fond of. He asked me if I'd be willing to help him build a PC, or find a pre-built model (like the Zotac Zbox). I'd prefer to be able to build it myself, so what's the tiniest enclosure into which I can fit a mini-itx motherboard and a small form-factor GPU (750 Ti?).

Regards,
Aereldor.

Budget case? CoolerMaster Elite 110. Or Raijintek Metis. Both are cramped as hell. ;)

Not-so-budget? nCase M1. However, getting M1 for 750 Ti and a budget build would be overkill.

As far as the budget is concerned, what's the budget? :P

Smallest case. No holds barred. He can afford to spend it, but doesn't really care about price to performance. I don't need recommendations for any other parts as they're easy to figure out. Just the smallest case which will fit a mini-itx motherboard and small discrete GPU like the single-fan 750 Ti models.

Also, sorry, posted this in the wrong subforum. I'd be grateful if a moderator could move this to the 'Cases' sub.

This should be in general discussion or new builds and planing. Not hot deals

Yeah, I know, I slipped up with two open tabs. Already asked a mod to move it. My bad.

If it helps, he seems to be looking at something similar to the Mac Mini. Initially, I was tempted to go with an APU as you don't need as much power to run games at 900p, but considering that you can max out stuff at 900p with a 750Ti, I'm willing to compromise on that.
