Hey guys, I am at my last straw and am incredibly confused. I got the MSI 980ti golden edition about a week ago. It worked fine at first but then started preforming at half the performance it did before. I thought this was a DOA card and RMA'd it. I got another one yesterday and it worked great. I overclocked it and it was being a champ. It scored around 19000 in 3dmark firestrike with an overclocked 4690k. Getting 60 FPS in every game. Today, every game I try is about 9 FPS and it scored 6000 in 3dmark. The CPU is at 63*C at max load and the card never goes above 70. I am just so confused. Thank you for any replies.

What are the rest of your specs?

Could it possibly be bad power coming from the wall in which a UPS would help?

Reinstalled the drivers? If not, Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and uninstall the GPU driver (You need to go in to safemode to do that). After you uninstalled the drivers go back in to normal mode and install the newest drivers from the Nvidia's website. If that didn't solve the problem try to check if you have an bad PSU or bad power from the wall.

Did you test that your overclock was stable?  Monitor your clock speeds when in game, I had an issue where my overclock wasn't stable and it was limiting the speeds, turn it down until it's stable and you should be fine.

Hey. Thanks for the replies. I verified the over clock (when the card worked) for 12 hours on the CPU and GPU. Here is the link for my ENTIRE system.

What software did you use to stress test the GPU for stability?

It could be that you have an old version of physX installed. Install the latest one off their website and try again.

Unigine Heaven and Furmark

You didn´t put a modded BIOS on the card, did you?

What kind of GPU OCs are we talking about? Since you have multiple monitors, where were your GPU and VRM temps?

The GPU clock was +110 and no voltage increase. The temps never went above 70. And no, no modded BIOS.
