old school for me was a AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+  :rolleyes:

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

Well, the oldest thing I've used is a 486, but that was my first stab at overclocking

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

Pentium D was the first PC i actually owned, i used Tooth paste as thermal paste as i had no clue the CPU would overheat.

The first PC my family bought,....was overclocked by me of course, with trial and error (When first introduced,...I looked at every tickbox, tried everything in windows, breaking and fixing, thats how you learn)
My 486 Dx100@120mhz (non-overdrive) I thought I was boss!

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

This is too old. I only remember those LGA 775 FSB overclocks. They were more challenging than today's easy multiplier overclocking.
