YouTube is such a hard place to grow now, so before you go into YouTube, go into it knowing that growing will be hard, go into it as a hobby, don't let it take time out of your life where you could otherwise be socialising/studying. Secondly, there are a multitude of different channels which all also review technology, discuss new and exciting things coming to market, so you will have to think of something that will make you stand out above everyone else, I can't tell you want to do because I can't think of anything original, mainly because there are so many other channels, and they cover practically everything :\ You really do not want to put a lot of money into it, don't buy things just to review expecting that you might be able to make something back from it, it will take you months, even a year before you could possibly earn your first $100 payment from YouTube and by that time you might have already spent $500 on products to review/make your content of a higher quality. The advantage Linus had is that he worked for a company from which he was able to take products, review them and in-turn use this as a form of marketing for NCIX, as a 14 year old, saying this will be hard would be an understatement.

The most important thing to remember is commitment. If you decide that you do want to make a YouTube channel, you must stay committed to it, you can't stop after a month because you only have 20 subscribers, I've been doing gaming content (the hardest possible area in YouTube to grow) for over a year now on 2 separate channels and together they only just break the 1000 subscriber barrier. But I'm committed to it, because it's a hobby and editing the videos, reading the comments, watching my analytics; these all keep be entertained in my otherwise boring and dull life :P

As for the name, that needs to be something you come up with, but the name alone won't help you grow, just make sure you won't regret it :D

Don't be a sell out

Look at everyone's situation when relating it to a customer

And just keep it simple and interesting.

Thanks very much for taking the time to answer, I know it is difficult so that's why I'm aiming to a quite smaller channel for fun and to see if I find the hobby good fun etc.... yeah I've always thought that you need an interesting name to also be able to attract more people but I'll wor on that... hehehe :D

Have fun doing it

yeah ^^

Don't neglect your viewers.

What do you mean by that???

Also guys I was thinking on doing videos mainly in english because that is where more viewers are, however that's also where more competition is, so what do you think about making it in spanish?? Do you think I have any chance or I'm better off doing making the vids in english??? (I know you won't have a personal experience with that part of the internet but if you have heard anything, etc....)

Thats true, there will be a lot of competition in the 'English' YouTube side of things, but then again this is the biggest community. There is much more people intrested in technology, that speak English. Now a days a lot of people speak basic English and understand even more, but personally it depends which community you wan't to focus at.

do NOT try to do youtube to become successful and make money and become famous and bla bla bla

do it for fun, and do not feel pressured to do it for views
tech channels are very hard to start because unless you can afford buying hundreds of $$ of stuff every month you will not get very far
also dont expect too much, youre only 14
enjoy =P
