What games such as GTA support CrossFire? Also, does League of Legends (out of curiosity, I can get 60FPS on max anyway).

Planning to get 390X and CF.

I'm pretty sure most games that came out in the last 2-3 years support CrossFire aswell as SLI.

I haven't found a single game yet that doesn't support my two GTX 980s and I'm sure it is the same for CrossFire.

just cause 3 (or have they already fixed that?)

Specs: CPU: I5 6600K (4.5 GHZ), GPU: RX 480 (stock), Mobo: MSI Z170A tomahawk AC, RAM: Corsair 16GB drr4 2600, CASE: NZXT S340, storage 240GB crusial SSD and a 1TB WD HHD

Actually many don't. Not on launch anyways. Fallout 4 doesn't and never will have SLI or Crossfire support, as one example. Quite a few of the games I play don't support CF. That's one of the reasons I ditched my CF 290's for a single 980. If you can afford it, get a single more powerful card instead of running 2 less powerful cards.

Oh right, Fallout 4 doesn't have SLI support. But I'm pretty sure at some point they add it in. Even Fallout 3 had SLI support.

I'm running SLI right now and Fallout4 is the only game I can remember where I could've needed SLI support.

hi there. been using CF for a few years now.

most games get a profile within 14 days of release. Some get before.

some games (indy games) get rudimentary profiles.

however, sometimes, you can just pick a profile from some other game and it will work just fine. In the Skyrim you can Assassins Creed Unity profile and it will give you same performance or sometimes bettet performance then the Skyrim profile. Dunno why, but it works

Fallout 4 uses the same engine as Skyrim. Skyrim never received a proper CF profile. I'm aware there is a Skyrim CF profile, but all it does is disable CF. ;) With my previous CF 290 setup, it gave me the exact same performance with the Skyrim CF profile applied in FO4 as just having CF disabled (and yes, I disabled Vsync in the ini).

For most new triple A games you just have to wait a little longer to get CF support. FO4 is a bit of an odd-ball as it uses such an old engine.

I tried that. While the max fps did increase, it also caused less consistent frame rates on average and lower minimum frame rates along with very loose frame timings resulting in a more choppy game play experience. I found the game ran much better on a single 290 with CF disabled. Frame timing and minimum fps/consistency is more important than overall higher average/max fps, IMO.
