I prefer RS3 to 2k7, I got bored of the repetitive click and wait just before EoC came out. I played the closed beta and loved it, however I have 2 issues:

They ruined the look of the armor, everything looked epic, now it just looks like cheap plastic fantasy armor (corrupt looks amazing though, and so does dragonhide)

The new level calculator punishes player like me, who level all their skills in a balanced way, while rewarding pures, who level up a single skill)

I guess I'm a jack of all trades, with levels of 56 to 62 in all combat skills (magic & defense are 62, constitution is 61, attack and strength are 60, and range is 56)

I'm level 126, but a player who just joined a week ago and trained magic to 70 (no-lifer) and defense to 54 gets the same level, with level 1 everything else.

It's not fair, I have over 800,000 xp in my combat skills, but the one player with just 300,000 xp can get a higher level, and calls me a noob because of it. In the old system, I'd be a 80, and he'd be a 40.

Rant over.

im a 200 combat player trying to get the max cape at the moment, sold my entire bank to get 85 herb now im grinding ganodermic beasts for 99 mage and i average about 2/5m a hour.

iv been sat there since the NIS update and with no money and only at 30m cash and im close to full superior sea singer.

im bored of players calling me crap at the game cause i grind a boss for 2 weeks straight and walk out with nothing.

my last rare drop was a Dragonchain from dust devils and that was about a year and a half ago -.-

people talking about Max cash like its nothing and a vet player (Like my self) struggling to get by cause i dont real world trade is depressing

I remember playing 2007-10. It was really fun and addciting, I would mine and mine and mine coal to make money to buy armor and weapons. Then I would train and train and train to level up then go in the fighting section to fight other people. They later took that out and added some clan war thing that was pretty fun but after a bit it got really repetitive. I had a lot of when I played it tho!!

I've played Old School for a while, and I really wish I could get super into it, but there's always the thought of them shutting down the servers in the back of my head. I don't want it to be another EoC situation where I spend ~400 days, yes, 400 days, on the game, then they take a crap on it/close it

For me the "Old School" RS is too new. I liked the RSC (Classic) most. After new version came something in Wilderness feeling was lost. Or pvp in general. Thought range and mages were only support in battles and didn't count as killers. But it was more fun to teamup. My golden years were 2000-2004 and then I tried new version around 2006 but it was more time killing than real playing with purpose.

I played the game for years, but I guess the most fun I had on it was with friends. We all quit for a while and pretty much never came back fully. I did subscribe a couple of times afterwards but didn't enjoy it as much. Runescape was a great game because of it's amazing community. Ever since the community started going downhill, in combination with the bots and the ''fix what aint broken updates'' from jagex the entire game has been going downhill alot.
