Yes, you read that right.  I found this mouse pad made entirely of memory foam.

So, all you high-speed CS:GO players and so on, what do you think this would do for your speed?

... honestly I can't imagine even using this for general computing.  Has anyone tried one?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

im sorry, but this is worse than useless

the thing with memory foam is the ability to sink in and support.  this would be almost impossible to use for everyday use, let alone gaming

So, this is a case of ergonomics gone too far? :P

I would say yeah, the mouse is probably enjoying it more than anything else. The ones with foam wrist rests are good for ergonomics.

Yeah, you don't even touch the mouse pad, why make out memory foam?

Yeah, this is definitely a bad idea. Ideally, your mousepad would be as uniformly smooth as possible. A mousepad made from memory foam wouldn't be uniform in the least, which would most likely cause massive issues for the sensor of your mouse. Heck, check the pictures: Clearly the mousepad is not intended for cases where you actually move the mouse a lot.

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.
