I'd wholly recommend the i5 4460.

I used to be quite active here.

I doubt that apu is much of a bottleneck if you ask me... If you can oc it a bit it should be ok

well AMD cpu's are pretty bad and depending on the game and screen resolution i can easily see that chip holding back even a mid-range card like the 380...at 1080p with max anti-aliasing maybe not so much but if the user is playing more CPU heavy stuff such as MMORPG, moba or RTS for example or pretty much anything multiplayer online with more than 10 players on a server that CPU will bend to his knees pretty fast...even with ''a bit of an oc''.

...and so would an FX-8350 in many games that are not very well optimised for multi-core CPU (AKA quite a few games actually) that CPU also share similar architecture and it's ''cores'' even though they run at higher frequencies are just as weak.

Fewer, stronger cores = always better...especially when it comes to gaming.

If you can afford more cores or threads through an i7 then by all means it'll be even better, but between a fake 8 core CPU from 2011-2012 that was weak even back then and a modern intel quad-core CPU...the choice is easy to make.
