Can anyone weigh in on this deal I found in my area for a BenQ GW2765HT 1440p display?

I'm in the US and its currently retailing around $365~ new and there is a used one for sale privately for $270. Supposedly, the seller is selling because he has 2 and only needs 1 (referring to it as like new). However, for some reason it sounds like too good of a price. Of course, I'm going to ask to see a demo of it and look for dead/stuck pixels, etc.

For some reason I'm always paranoid buying used privately, but if anyone has proved that used parts are great its LTT. Just wanted a second opinion I guess.

I've bought used parts in the past, it comes down to the seller really. Use your judgment here.

If you're buying through eBay or a Auction website and paying via Paypal these companies usually support the customer and will give you your money back from the seller if the product is defective (usually within 7-30 days depending on policy).

The BenQ XL2430T i bought just last week was an ex display model. The counter was reset so i don't know how long it has been on (if it ever was on) but physically it is in fantastic shape. Software is up to date and works very well. No stuck or dead pixels on the panel either.

Bought it off eBay for £210. As opposed to £260 new.

Seller did put this info down.

This product has been used as a shop demonstration model, has been fully tested by the manufacturer and is in great visual condition. The unit will come boxed with all accessories! ** 3 Months Warranty

Really as long as the seller has good info and good reviews you should be safe. If there are issues then deal with the seller who might be able to get the manufacturer to replace the item in warranty (if any).

So, actually just wen to see it and decided on waiting for something else. It was a craigslist post btw.

Found out it was missing all the cables that were included except for the power cord. It also was missing the cable management clip. All of this isn't bad for the money, but the screen bleed was a bit intense and I found out the current owner bought it on eBay.

Decided I'd hold off. I'm not completely against used stuff I guess, but it felt weird since it'd be from new > owner > eBay > craigslist post with missing stuff.
