Best metal for case mod

I am planning on making my own case from the frame of a super old cheap one made of steel and i was wondering what metal makes the best case walls and is cheap ($5 per square foot CAD). This is my first mod so i want to do something simple thanks

Internet, depends what country I guess in Canada there should be some on the internet. There should be cheap suppliers for sheet aluminum however, you need the correct tools to bend it, cut it, drill etc. At least with aluminium it is a soft metal so it is easy to do so. You just need the precision of a tool, not hand.

Aluminium or Acrylic, both of these are easy to get a hold of in decent sizes and are easy to work with.

I would use wood since i'm familiar with cutting and finishing.

 

Would be cool idea to use fiber glass tubes as the "sled" for the mobo.

I just want flat pieces, no bending or welding

Wood might be cool as well as acrylic
