I'd add an SSD, change gpu for 390 and get a cheaper motherboard.

  • You're missing an SSD, and from a high-end build like this, I feel like you'd be really missing out. Throw in an 850 EVO 250GB.
  • The GTX 980 falls between the 970 and 980TI at a terrible pricepoint, and is often not worth the purchase. However, I cannot seem to find a comparable card at the same price point in CAD.

Otherwise, I think it looks great!

you should really really go cheaper on the motherboard, also if you are gaming skylake cpu's are mostly a waste.

Skylake, especially the 6600k, are fine for gaming, and it's actually what they're designed for. (Compared to something like X99) Might you be thinking of X99?

saves money, allows for overclocking and performs just as well. with the saved money you coud buy a 480gb ssd

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025
