980Ti Thermal Pads

I currently have a Zotac GTX 980Ti AMP! Edition and im planning on putting new thermal paste on the GPU. Will I need new thermal pads for the VRM's? Or are the stock pads that Zotac installs okay? If I need new pads, anyone direct me to good thermal pads? Price isnt an issue.

Why would u want to swap paste?

I have this card it runs very cool and quiet why would you want to open it up?

Mine never goes above 82C and i have a 400mhz OC on the VRAM and about 175+ on the core clock.

82C is not considered cool on a GPU.

With an OC that big i would say thats great. At stock it never went above 70 i dont think. Either way the pads should be fine if u swap the paste.

I have +200 CC and +300 MC and i hit about 73C under load. Still too hot and too loud for me :D

Did you put a fan curve on your GPU? using MSI Afterburner?

It'll better if you set one yourself. 

 

Also, if you don't like the GPU, sell it and get gigabyte's or msi. Both Good cards.
