Motherboard Swap?

So I have my new motherboard coming in tomorrow (MSI 970 GAMING am3+), and I just started thinking about the hard parts of the swap. I mean, sure, the hardware part is laborious, but I can handle that. I am now concerned that when I finish the install, I may have to do a boot drive wipe and/or have to reinstall all of my drivers. Will the swap be most likely seamless, like replacing a GPU? or do I have more work cut out for me than I know how to handle...
