get something like the mad dogs and a fiio e10k and turn bass boost on when you play games for that bass powa.

the mad dogs are from mr speakers if youre having trouble finding them

that's really not that much for a decent headphone..

I would look at He400i or HD600. and a mic like a snowball.

Did you spend more than $10 on your mouse? More than $20 on your keyboard? Same thing can be said in your case. If you don't have a quality post to make, do not post, you are not helping OP.

The 598 comes in both tan/beige as well as an all black model. As for the HD600, of course they are better, but you will want an amp when moving into that territory. For a good quality cheap amp I recommend the Schiit Magni 2 that sells for $99.

You either get the HD 558 or the HD 600 in my opinion, so yes.

If you need a mic, go with the blue snowball if you don't do any professional mic stuff. I have the astro A40's and they are very good. They are around $200-300 but I got them on a sale.

The Blue Snowball is a fine choice, but not so much the A40. For a $300 budget you can grab the Senn G4ME One for $170 and have the rest left over to spend on hookers and blow while still having a far superior headphone and mic in headset form over the A40.

I think the Mad Dogs that @ThatOneRussian mentioned are a good choice as well. But right now we are a little over the place between 598($147) and 600($330).

Maybe this will help, we know that you want to use for gaming (I'd personally not go with the HD6x0 series for gaming in comparison to the HD5x8 series), but what genres of music do you primarily listen to?
