Why does it cost so much to buy a psu and cable mods anyone got a cheap website for this or help.. thanks

The mods are well expensive, I bought extensions for roughly 1/2 the price of the pre modded psu cables

Do it yourself.

https://mainframecustoive seen a video on it being done but dont want to play about with the wires when i havent done it before

If you've never done it before, how will you ever do it?

It's not too difficult. It's more time consuming than anything.

But it does give you more control over the length of your cables rather than having predefined lengths to choose from.

Sleeved cables like from cable mods or other places aren't exactly what I would call expensive especially since you need to tools and time to do the sleeving, Extension are a good alternative or middle ground between costs and looks.

For pinouts and things you need to map them out to make sure you don't mix them up or get the connections wrong, if your interested under Sleeving and PSU pinouts and Diagrams has most of this info:
