So Im going to build a computer for work and family. I will work allot with documents and text and on the Internet. I will also edit family videos(no 4k or 1080p and 60fps videos ) So Im wondering will these parts work together?

 

CPU/GPU: Intel Core i5-6600K

CPU FAN: Cryorig C7

 

Motherboard: ASUS Z170-A

 

RAM: Kingstone Value DDR4 2133MHz 16GB

 

Case: Cooler Master CM Force 500 Midi Tower

 

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

 

PSU: Corsair RM550, 550W PSU

You could probably get a lower wattage power supply if you're not using a discrete graphics card.

You could probably gvet away with a smaller psu, and a xeon 1231v3 + h97 will be cheaper and more powerful if you don't OC.

Depends on the scenario. In his current usage, it might be faster with the 6600K at 4.5GHz.

The 6600K is first and foremost a performance/gaming chip. I'd probably go with a 6500, maybe even a Haswell chip if it's just a family PC. I'd also suggest going with a Coolermaster or Noctua cooler and a smaller PSU.
