How is that even legal to call that 75/2? I know the speeds can fluctuate, bui getting less than 5% of the speed you pay for seems unacceptable.

ok but why do you pay for such terrible upload speeds? if you get that good download, your upload speeds should be a bit comparable.

ISP's deliberately cap upload speeds to conserve bandwidth, you can have it increased on request but you usually have to prove that you need the increased speed

  • 3 weeks later...

Europe and the far east tend to be the leaders for internet speeds, im from the UK and i pay for 150 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up but in reality i get 162 Mbps down and 12 Mbps up with a 8 ms ping but in a couple of months my provider is upgrading its top service (what i'm on) to 200 Mbps, so theoretically i'll be getting an extra 50 Mbps but i'll probably get 210 Mbps if i'm lucky. I love my service but its also a bit worrying because the average in the uk is about 10 Mbps so i find it strange that there's such a gulf between the average and the maximum, i get one of the highest speeds in the UK but i know people who pay twice as much as me for less than 1/20th of what im getting, because they aren't tech savvy they see "UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS" and "OUR NEW FIBER CONNECTION" ans immediately think they're getting the best when in reality they are getting one of the worst
