I dunno I think it is good that you are either a pc gamer or a console gamer.

I think it would work, but I can't help but feel as thou this would give console users who already "claim" that xbox is better because of graphics. a competitive edge at least in their minds. But if anyone could make it happen it would be Microsoft.

There would still be both markets. It would just bridge them together more. A console gamer would be able to play games at a higher quality level while still having the ease of use of a console and the PC gamers would have the ability to switch to an interface that is more suited to big screen gaming. 

 

The quality of games would improve too. As developers would be able to target a base model while still adding the extra bells and whistles. In other words there would be less stagnation between console generation cycles. Everyone wins.

I just hate controllers. no accuracy. I want to use a keyboard and mouse on a console so I can absolutely wreck people (the accuracy of the keyboard/mouse + the autoaim of a console)

The console you can build is pointless since you can build a PC plus it'd make it harder for developers to optimize it for the platform...

Basically you want a PC that can play console exclusive games? Not happening...until we get our hands on emulators...that work.

If I were the CEO Microsoft/ Xbox I would:

1. Keep the OS ( Let people customize it a little bit, Like Window 8 "Modern UI" )

2. Find a way to put a more powerful graphics card in a console ( Maybe like 765m )

3. Change the god-awful color scheme of the One

4. Make the next Windows OS more like 7 ( So people won't hate on it )

5. If the next OS were successful, sell the Xbox One for a loss  ( Like the Lexus LFA, Porsche 959, Bugatti Veyron )

6. Sell a bundle for two-three weeks for $ 450 USD with Two Controllers and Two Xbox Exclusives or All-Platform Games ( Again, lose money on everyone they sell but that's the point of having it for two weeks and gain it back through sales of a new OS and Nokia Phones )

7. Sell a bundle for a month or two for $ 530 USD and include a game.

 

 

My Idea of the perfect console.

We already have those. They are called "computers". Only thing you can't do is play the console exclusive titles (without an emulator). Steam Big Picture is the game launch with integrated browser thing.
