HELP a newbie

so i built my new pc and finaly i will be instaling my new gpu so i want to ask if you like it

so i have a cx430 and an i5 4460

and im on a buget so i picked msi gtx 750 ti twin froz 2GB

from what i have seen it will easily play 1080p. on high-ultra in most games.

What are your opinions on this????

It's fine but I would upgrade the PSU before the GPU.

High-Ultra won't be happening with a 750 Ti

Depends on what he plays. Witcher 3? you will not get high or medium true, but if he is playing games like Borderlands 2, GS:GO, WoW, League of Legends, Tomb Raider 2013, Just Cause 2. Medium - High is perfectly fine,

 

Just make sure he installs Geforce Experience to get the optimized settings.

GFE is godawful. It pushes my shadows down and adds AA. Fuck that crap.

Get a new PSU before you upgrade. The CX series works fine and all but its not really ment for gaming rigs and 430 watts is kinda low if you ever want to upgrade in the future.

+1 on that, personal tweaks are always better than automatic.

4Xmsaa is enough for most people to not notice.

For me it has done wonderful. Maxing out my shadows and AA in most games and running it fine. If my hardware isn't able to support it then it lowers both.

 

It's different for each person. I would say for him to give it a try and see if he likes it himself before discreditting it. I used to use Razer Cortex to "Boost" my games and it did fine until I learned how to just do in and disable processes and manage my hardware better.

OP please get a R9 270/x. They go pretty cheap, so do GTX 950s. Much worth the extra $10-$20

Still a gamble. This is a CX430, not CX500 or CX600. He'll be pushing it at 70% load with a 270X

If you had a half-decent PSU you could run a R9 390 off of it.

You are honestly making it sound like the CX430 is worse then that cheap Chinese HP PSU I had in my rig before.
