This is my very first custom gaming pc. After a month digging through forums and carefully selecting and ditching compenents, I came to the following setup:

CPU: Skylake i5-6500 4x 3.20 Ghz

Grafics: Gigabyte GTX 960 WF2OC 4GB
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H170M-D3H
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport Kit 8GB DDR4-2400
PSU: Seasonic M12II-520 EVO 520W
Case: Cooler Master Silencio 352M
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Fans: 3x Arctic Cooling F12 PWM PST

I already got an 3TB HDD and an 256GB SSD.

My budget is 800€ (875 usd). This pc should be able to play games like Fallout 4, Just Cause 3 and Cities:Skylines well over 30 FPS on 1080p.

Criticism is welcome!

I would go with the R9 380 4GB instead of the Geforce.

Go for the Z170 motherboard from Asus or AsRock ones.

You can OC non K CPUs with those motherboards.

But worth getting a Z170 series and it can do stable OCs, useful for future upgrades.

asus mobo even for H or B series are made with better composts and have nice features like good fan controllers.

First of all, you don't need a 212 if you're not going to overclock. You'll be perfectly fine with stock cooler. This changes if you go for 6600k, then your Evo 212 gets useful. ;)

no a non K skew CPU can be overclocked on certain mobos.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a Wii and PS2 as your only consoles.

Second - R9 380 will be better than 960 ;)

I thought I would go with the Hyper 212 because the stock cooler is very loud. Sadly a 6600K would go beyond my budget   :(

Not really.

People are happy with Gigabyte boards.

They're one of the best motherboard makers on the market. Just like Asus.

Just because Fan controllers in BIOS is not really good, doesn't make that Gigabyte is bad.
